The Through the Lens HMI Conference is being delivered by HMI and is particularly useful for schools that are graded as required improvement and/or are expecting an inspection this academic year.
|Course Title||Through the Lens Conference|
|Course Tutor||Catherine Leahy HMI|
|Duration||1 x full day|
|Target Audience||Primary and secondary leadership and governors|
|Course Description||The ‘Through the Lens’ conference is being delivered by HMI. It is designed to support schools that are graded as requires improvement. It is also applicable for schools that are expecting an inspection and wish to hear from HMI what constitutes 'readiness for inspection'. |
Each seminar provides an opportunity for schools to:
• explore and discuss key issues around improvement, looking at Ofsted's evidence about schools that have secure self evaluation and a strong evidence base;
• identify, using case study examples, the key drivers for school improvement;
• apply learning to plan for improvement in your own school alongside experienced HMI.
The conference is aimed at headteachers accompanied by two additional representatives from the school, such as another senior staff member and the Chair of Governors. This is a vital conference for any school on expecting to be inspected during this academic year.
