Duration4 x half day facilitated sessions & 1 x full day facilitated session
Target AudienceThis programme is for schools and teachers who want to advance, develop and improve their teaching practice and deliver consistently good lessons.
We recommend that schools send three members of staff to attend the programme. They would then co-plan, deliver and feedback on a number of activities and lesson(s) observations.
It is expected that the senior leadership team will nominate staff who they feel would benefit from this type of professional development.
A mentor should be agreed upon for the learning three who is usually a senior leader at the school.
The Improving Teacher Programme is not a behaviour management programme and is not appropriate for those who are deemed to be inadequate.
