Course DescriptionThis programme is for newly appointed headteachers. The content of the programme consists of six sessions and is based upon a personalised and bespoke package of support planned with a Learning Exchange Adviser. The individual focus for each session will be informed by a one to one needs analysis and agreed with each participant during the complimentary introductory session.
The bespoke programme may include:
• school based one to one sessions from a Learning Exchange Adviser and/or LA officer;
• personalised leadership coaching;
• visit(s) to another school with a specific focus on school leadership;
• facilitated peer support and networking.
The focus of the bespoke one to one sessions may be selected from the following examples:
• school self-evaluation;
• monitoring and evaluation;
• working in partnership with governance;
• tracking pupil progress;
• pupil progress meetings;
• data analysis;
• school improvement planning;
• securing quality first teaching;
• leading teaching and learning;
• safeguarding;~`• vulnerable learners;
• effective people management;
• supporting self and others.
Participants are also entitled to:
• the Learning Exchange Headteacher Induction Handbook;
• access to a self-selected Professional Partner via the National College (20/30 hours support over two years).

CostBespoke and personalised to individual need.
Learning Exchange member fee: Two hour sessions for £200 each or £600 for six sessions (subsidised by £600 as the total cost would be £1200)
Non member fee: Two hour sessions for £300 each or £750 for six sessions (subsidised by £450 as the total cost would be £1200)
