|Course Description||This half day course is designed for teachers, NQTs/RQTs and teaching assistants who want to explore how to develop pupils’ recall and fluency in the fundamentals of mathematics.|
The session seeks to demonstrate how fluency and conceptual understanding can be developed in tandem. Through practical activities participants will explore how these skills can be developed alongside a problem solving approach to the curriculum.
There will be an opportunity to explore different resources, develop an understanding of progression and recognise how the links between these strands of mathematics can be used to secure pupils’ understanding.
